Sharing History with Others

Becoming a docent at Dodona Manor is a rewarding experience. History, preservation, and garden enthusiasts enjoy the experience of volunteering in a beautiful setting with a tremendous history.

Through a rigorous but fun process, Docents are educated about General George C. Marshall as well as the history of Dodona Manor. A handbook, Docent Guide, and biography are provided, and workshops and observation sessions combine to supply interested individuals with all of the education and support needed to become a full-fledged Dodona Manor Docent.

Learn more about becoming a Docent through one of our Docent Information Sessions. To find out when the next session will be held, contact Education Coordinator Pat Black at (703) 777-1880 or at dodonadocentpat@aol.com.

The George C. Marshall International Center affords numerous other volunteer opportunities for individuals interested in history and preservation. Click here for more information.

- Forrest Pogue
